New Video - An Inconvenient Gift for Gordon Smith
Al Gore and climate change are all over the news. But, is Gordon Smith getting the message?
DPO Executive Director Trent Lutz mailed Smith a copy of “An Inconvenient Truth” today to inform Smith about climate change and convince him to change his votes on global warming.
There is nothing to indicate Smith has changed his stance from 2003 when The Daily Astorian said his climate change position would earn him induction into the Flat Earth Society.
And his voting record signals little concern over climate change. Smith has voted against proposals to reduce greenhouse emissions, against boosting fuel efficiency, and for windfall profits for Big Oil. In each of those votes, Smith voted opposite Oregon’s other U.S. Senator, Democrat Ron Wyden.
The DVD should arrive in Smith’s Washington, DC office in the next few days.
Lutz said he hopes Smith will take three steps:
1.View the video.
2.Let Oregonians know if the video has changed his mind on global warming.
3.Let Oregonians know if he will vote for the environment instead of for Big Oil.

Who's voice is that at the end of the video? They should go into radio!
This should become a regular feature. Can't get enough of that wonderful Lutz!

JK: WOW, now people who disagree with the party line are “flat earthers”
This is particularly disgusting to hear less than a week after a British court verified NINE FACTUAL ERRORS in Gore’s alleged documentary. Of course there are many more. If any one at the party is interested in the facts, here is a pretty good listing of 35 errors:

Your injecting politics into science is both disgusting and dangerous for our future. Stalin did that and got MILLIONS KILLED.
I might add, it is going to be really funny watching you guys scream the sky is falling as the world enters the next cooling cycle. (I presume that you noticed that 1998 is no longer considered the warmest year? And that we have been cooling since 1998?)
Just in case you really are as scientifically ignorant as you appear, please check out:
New York Times Oct 7, 1912 - Prof. Schmidt Warns of Encroaching Ice Age

Even AL Gore should be able to see a pattern here.

Hey there Jim Karlock
You better be careful, next thing you know the Dems here will claim that you are "bought and paid for by BIG OIL." Since that is the only response they have to any critics. They never refute the facts you present, just like the GOP in the lead up to the war. You know, attack the messenger.
Check this out

Please refute items 1-9.
Thank you very much
Then there are the 35 errors found by lord Monckton of Brenchley:

Thanks

Somehow, I'm not sure how international scientific consensus equates to "the party line." Not a bad party line to have, though.
But hey, blog posts and British Lords (and websites like "scienceandpublicpolicy" by said British Lord) have their place in serious public policy decisions as well.
Gordon Smith should listen to his constituents and Oregon media and act now on climate change.
In response to JK: Is anything ever 100% true? Whether or not Gore's movie has errors does not change the fact that there is SOMETHING going on with our environment, and that something happens to be drastic, important, relevant, and something we can change. It seems to me that by going through the political system we can make the biggest change. However, I would hope that the scientific facts themselves could stand seperate from candidates' and leaders' political opinions.
This might not have any legitimate relevancy to your previous comments, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway.
