Smith Votes To Keep Troops In Iraq - Again
For the fifth time in 2007, Gordon Smith voted to keep troops in Iraq.
His Tuesday, December 18 vote followed his two votes in Fall and two in May to keep troops in Iraq.
Oregon’s other U.S. Senator, Ron Wyden, voted opposite Smith on all five votes.
Smith’s votes to keep troops in Iraq come despite his year long public claim that he opposes the war.
It’s no surprise Smith isn’t following through on his words.
Smith has proven he will say anything to win re-election.
